Conditions were groomed and fast with a perfect amount of sunshine in the afternoon of Sunday, March 10. Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort outside of Grand Forks hosted the Nancy Greene Ski racing finals and had set a giant slalom course that the kids were excited to race twice.

NG Summit Lake Racers had two teams entered into the finals, and both teams did well with third place finishes. Not only did the teams do well, but the racers also had some great individual results. In the U10 boys first race, Foster Katchen received silver and Colby Mackintosh received bronze.

For the second race of the day, U10 boys’ bronze went to Foster Katchen and U12 girls’ bronze went to Kiley Waterfield. To add to the activities of the day the coaches got to race after all the kids had finished and NGSLR coach Daryl Katchen got silver.

It was an amazing finish to an incredible season. Special thanks to all the volunteer coaches that put so much of their own time and resources into making this program happen for the kids.
