Despite plenty of hard fought games, the Nakusp Cougars were only able to win one of four bouts.

With strong leg work by Jenna Reimer, rebound control by Devon Leitch and plenty of shots by Lana Reimer, with solid defense in the back from Riley McCormack, the team was able to hold on to this lead going through the second period.

The third period is went things started to go south.

The Spartans pushed back hard and were only trailing by six points going into the fourth quarter.

In a last quarter spat, the Spartans took some big shots, including two three-point shots and outrunning the Cougars.

The team would go on to beat the Cougars as the final buzzer hit, putting the final score at 62–68.

The team from Fernie went on to win the whole tournament.
