Central Butte, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in the presence of her long time companion, Sam Crockett.
Born January 25th, 1946 in British Columbia, Vera was the only child of Jackson and Anne Payne. She was also a long time resident of the South Shore of Nova Scotia where she and first husband Graham Rains raised their three children. In her final years Vera took to task with Sam, remodelling, rebuilding and relaxing in their homes of Western Canada.
Vera is survived by her friend and companion Sam Crockett, Central Butte, Saskatchewan, her first husband Graham Rains of Brigewater, Nova Scotia, daughter Kimberly, Cormier (Rains) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, son Jackson (Tammy) Rains of Auburndal, Nova Scotia, son Anderson (Annette) Rain of Western Shore, Nova Scotia, grandson Dylan Cormier of Dublin Shore and cousins, Boyd Payne, Eric Payne, Maureen Payne and Chris Nagy all of British Columbia. Vera also leaves behind a long list of those she called friend.
Vera was predeceased by second husband John Organ. Cremation has taken place and service to celebrate her life will be held on the South Shore of Nova Scotia at a later date.
