It is with sad hearts and fond memories we regret to announce the passing of former Nakusp resident
Stanley ‘Larry’ Otto Miller. Larry passed away Friday June 26, 2009 suddenly at the Trail Regional Hospital.
Larry was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on March 30, 1943 to Otto and Sally Miller formerly of Nakusp. The family moved to BC when he was a child and lived in many places.
He met Barbara Miller and they married in Rossland B.C. in 1965. They began their family in Hills then moved to Rossland in1972. In 1985, the family moved to Nakusp. Larry worked for the Department of Transportation until he retired. Upon retirement he moved to Mackenzie B.C. to help take care of his grandchildren.
Larry was predeceased by his Mother, Father and Oldest Brother Leslie Miller. He is survived by his children Dena Morrison, Dawn (Dave) Black, Marla Miller (Robert Gould), Richard, Curtis (Sarah), 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his brothers Dennis (Muriel) Miller, Melvin (Lois) Miller and sisters Ruby DeCorte, and Bonnie Likus and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service was officiated by Rev. H.Bitten on July 3, 2009 at The United Church in Nakusp. Interment followed at Glenbank Cemetery
