TURNER, RUTH nee BAIRD
Born in Nakusp B.C. on January 19, 1913, Ruth passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on May 31, 2011. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Albert George in 1987, her brothers Gordon, Jim, Marsden, George, and Leslie, and her sister Alice King. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Jeannine (Del) Clark of Sooke and Joan (Terry) James of Courtenay, brothers Herb, Ernie and sister Marion Henke,
8 grand children and 17 great grand children.
Ruth lived a healthy active life having moved to Victoria in 1940. She was a happy, energetic woman, who loved her family, friends, gardening, Old Time dancing, and playing the piano. We are proud of the example she set. Sincere thanks to Dr. Miles and to the staff of The Camelot and Sunset Lodge for their kindness in caring for Ruth in her final years.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.
