Patrick Albert Beingessner
November 27, 1920 - January 5, 2011
Born in Champion, Alta on November 27, 1920, and passed peacefully on January 5, 2011 at age 90.
Pat spent three years overseas during World War II with the Ontario Regiment in Italy and Holland. He later moved to Nakusp and spent 33 years employed by School District #10, retiring in 1980. As a volunteer bus driver, he spent many weekends on his own time, chauffering students on field trips and to sports and cultural events.Later, he drove the seniors on their weekly trips to the Hot Springs. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed curling, watersports, golfing, skiing and his favorite past time, hockey. He was also a volunteer fireman and had an Honorary Lifetime Membership to the Nakusp Volunteer Fire Dept.
Pat is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laura, daughter Donnette, son Rick, grandchildren: Colby, Nolan, Lance, Dane and Madison.
