With profound sadness we wish to announce the passing of our mother Norma Olson on May 10, 2018.
Mom was born September 20, 1928 to Henry & Mary Funk of Renata BC.
Mom spent her childhood in Renata working on the farm and in the Packing House. She re-located to Nakusp at the age of 18 where she worked in the Arrow Lakes Hospital as a Nurse's Aide. It is here where she met our dad W. John Olson.
Dad & Mom married in Revelstoke in 1951. Mom continued to live in the house her and dad built in Nakusp until the summer of 2017 when she relocated to Revelstoke until the time of her death.
Mom loved working with her hands as shown in her gardening, knitting & crocheting.
Leaving behind to remember her are daughters; Wilma (husband Ron) Wendy (husband Dan); grandchildren Sheena, Shea (Corrie), Kailey, Drew, Brittany (Greg), Devin; great grandchildren Lauryn, Jaryn. Sisters; Ann Thomas; Eileen Funk. She was predeceased by her husband John Olson; parents Henry & Mary Funk; brothers Ernie, Len, Jack and Richard.
Upon Norma's request there will be no funeral service.
