April 6, 1966 - April 4, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved father, Karl Lloyd Detta on April 4th, 2021. Karl was born April 6, 1966 to parents Lloyd and Beverly Detta.
Karl loved hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, sea-dooing and so many other hobbies. He was the kind of person to help anyone when they were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Our dad was one of the most selfless people we have known, and helped so many people without expecting anything in return.
Left to carry on his memory are his daughter Lindsay Percy (Wade Percy), son Mitchell Detta (Jewelle Alaric), his two granddaughters, Hailey and Hadley Percy, his mother Beverly Detta, brothers Jim Detta (Bernice), Paul Detta (Tammy) and sister Jean Doherty (Shawn), along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews .
Karl is predeceased by his father, Lloyd Detta and sister Coral Detta.
Our dad taught us many things in life - to live every moment, to enjoy every moment and to remember every moment. His kids, their spouses and his granddaughters were his everything and he poured his heart into loving every single one of us.
We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences, cards, meals, flowers and generosity through this difficult time.
There was a small Celebration of Life on April 10, 2021.
