WATSON Karen
Karen lost her battle with cancer and passed away on April 9, 2004 at the age of 47.
She was born on November 17, 1956 at the Nakusp Hospital. She married Richard Watson in 1974 and was blessed with seven children; Curt (Crystal), Brant (Leslie), Kristen (Brett), Bryan, Troy, Tanner and Adam. She had six grandchildren whom she adored; Justin, Rayna & Grace Davies, Aaron, Zachary & Emily Watson. Her interests were gardening, camping when not raining & listening to children read at BES. She was active in the Women’s Institute and also in all the school activities.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A sincere thank you to all our friends and neighbours for all your kind donations of food, money, flowers and moral support. Just being there for all of us, words can not express the gratitude we feel. A special thank you to Dr. Goranson for the excellent care he provided Karen in her time of need. We can’t thank the nursing staff at the Arrow Lakes Hospital enough for the gentle and loving way they treated Karen each day. We would also like to thank Father Fred Sogz and Peter Klopp for doing the Memorial Service and eulogy for us. And also the Women’s Institute & Seniors of Fauquier for putting on the beautiful luncheon. Your kind words and actions have helped our family cope during this difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
