The family of Jacob Wake Martens is saddened to announce of his sudden passing at home on May 25, 2009, at the age of 78.

He was predeased by his wife, Christina in May of 2004.

He will be remembered by his three sons, Robert and

Timothy (Laura) John (Julie) and his daughter Shannon (Rick), two grandchildren (Hilary & Gabriel)

plus Jacob’s sisters and brothers: Henry (Helena), Ann, Christine, Bill (Helen), Eva (Ivar), Agnes, Elsie (George), Neil (Jean), Lance, Alice (Leonard),Victor (Shirley), and Caroline and many nieces and nephews.

Jacob enjoyed being outside doing stuff around

the yard, wood working, spending time with his family, pets, visiting friends when he could and watching his favourite shows.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 30th at the Saddleback Community Church (on 59 3rd St. N. W.) at 3:00 p.m.

A tea will be held after the service in the basement of the church.

Jacob will be cremated and his remains will be interacted with Christina in at Keremeos.
