Jan 2, 1968 - Feb 15, 2018
Gloria Anne Miller, "G", of Vernon, B.C., was lost to us while scuba diving in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on February 15th,  2018.

G was born, Jan. 2, 1968 in Morden, Manitoba and was their first New Year's baby. As a child, the family moved around Manitoba as G's dad pursued employment. Her final move in MB was to Altona at the age of 18 moving in with her sister, Janet.

In 1990, G followed her sister to Calgary, Alberta where she met Tim Miller.  G and Tim moved to Burton in 1991 and married in 1992.  Although Tim and G's marriage ended in 2001, their gift to the world was a very large baby boy, Noah Ray Miller, born in 1994.

G moved to Vernon in 2001 in order to make a good life for herself and Noah.  David Chambers and G started dating in late 2007 and in 2011 made a commitment to each other moving into their mountain home above BX.

Sometimes nervous but never deterred, G's list of accomplishments is long and interesting:  Hair Stylist, Seated Massage, Aroma Therapy, Barista and Medical Transcriptionist, to name a few. She obtained many certificates to keep inspired and to provide for herself and Noah. Her hobbies and pastimes exceeded the diversity of her professional achievements and included: dirt biking, stand up paddling, street bike-riding, hiking, snowshoeing, CrossFit, and more. She was an avid Pinterest follower and used it to inspire activities and create gifts for her children and grandchildren.

G is survived by her husband, David Chambers; her son, Noah Miller; David's children: Ryan (Missy) Chambers, Chris (Tiffany) Chambers, Danielle (Brad) Lewison, David and G's five grandchildren; her brothers: Les, Richard, and Clarence Dyck; her sister, Janet Derksen; her nephews: Luke Derksen, and Joshua Dyck; and her niece, Shyanne Derksen.

Gloria was predeceased by: her parents, Bernhard Dyck, Margaret Dyck (Heinrichs), and her brother, Jerrold Dyck.

A memorial will be held Sunday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Vernon Lodge, in Vernon, BC.

In lieu of flowers, please donate generously to Vernon Search and Rescue www.vernonsar.ca an organization that G always admired.

For all of those who knew her, you will understand these final thoughts:

She was a fun herder!

She was extraordinary!

She was our Sunshine!
