He was the second acting manager of the Armstrong & Spallumcheen Savings and Credit Union and a strong supporter of the original ice arena in Hassen Hall. Earl was one of the original Armstrong Shamrocks Lacrosse team members. He loved to skate and made an outdoor rink at the family home on Van Kleeck Avenue where the whole neighbourhood would gather. Earl built one of the first summer cabins on Okanagan Lake which the family still enjoy. He was an active Mason in both the Armstrong and Nakusp Lodges and served as Grand Master. Earl was always full of fun and high spirits, a very loving, affectionate father, grandfather and great-grandfather. We will all miss his infectious grin and wacky sense of humour.
