Dorothy Mae Cowan
Dorothy was born June 12 1929 in Arrowhead, British Columbia. She passed away suddenly on May 20, 2011 in Nakusp, which has been her home for the most of her 81 years, and she will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
Dorothy moved to Nakusp at the age of 12 years with her parents William and Vera Evans, her brothers Norman and Harold and sister Eileen and has been an active member of our community ever since.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by husband Stanley, Brothers Harold and Norman and Sister Eileen. Dorothy leaves behind an extended loving family all of whom will feel an overwhelming loss forever.
The family thanks the Overwaitea staff, Ambulance Attendants, Search and Rescue, Arrow Lakes Hospital Staff and all those who attended to Dorothy in her time of need.
