It is with deep sadness the family of Dave announces his passing. He will be forever missed by his wife Fabiola, his daughters Estee and Jordani, his parents Keith and Marlene Coates, his sister Carolyn (Alan) White and their children Damon,Jayna and Keanna. Dave also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, his wife's family and many wonderful friends
Dave was born and raised in Nakusp, B.C. He graduated high school in 1990 with honors, excelling in academics and sports. During his school years he loved skiing, playing hockey, golfing, baseball and fishing. He then attended BCIT in Vancouver to receive his petroleum technologist diploma.
This took him to Alberta to pursue employment in the oil field. After several years, he moved onto owning his own firewood business in Calgary. Dave worked tirelessly and was very dedicated to his business and customers and expanded it throughout the Calgary area.
Dave was a very dedicated and loving father and he was extremely proud of his daughters. He passed on his love of sports to them and loved watching both girls in their various sporting events from Estee's cheerleading to Jordi's hockey, which he was very involved in. Dave, Fabiola and the girls enjoyed spending time together camping with friends and family, boating, fishing, skiing, skating and golfing. Special memories were made.
Dave is known and fondly remembered for his kindness and generosity to everyone, his selflessness, his unique laugh and beautiful smile . Dave will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all that knew and loved him.
