Betty Brodbeck passed away peacefully at the age of 96, with family by her side. Betty was a gifted piano player and was even on the radio as a young girl. She loved to knit and crochet, and donated mitts and toques to the Nakusp Christmas Hampers for many years. She had a very giving heart, and was very proud to crochet teddy bears that were sent to the needy children of Brazil.

Betty started oil painting when she moved to Nakusp and was a natural artist! She amazed everyone with her skill and love of painting mountains, with Saddleback Mountain being her favourite. Betty was very devoted to her family. We will miss her beautiful smile, her genuine laugh and perfect cup of tea.

We will be forever grateful to the supportive staff at Minto House for the care and kindness given to our Mom and Nanno. Nakusp is very lucky to have this facility and these incredible people caring for our loved ones.
