Bengt Ander Jakobsson
June 26, 1952 – August 9, 2011
Family and friends were shocked and saddened by the death at Nanaimo General Hospital of this kind and gentle man. Ben was a warrior in battle with cancer and time was not on his side.
He was one of three children born to the late Bengt Sr. and Christina Jakobsson of Nakusp, B.C. and was the beloved husband to Rosilda for nineteen years. Ben will forever be remembered by his brothers Michael and Gordon, beloved daughter Alyssa (Nick), treasured grandchildren Naya and Kali, loving sister-in-law Gerri, along with countless friends and family whom were blessed to know him.
Ben enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved fishing, hunting, walking his dog Bubba, and sharing quality time with family and friends. His laughter and grandular smile will be missed.
Ben touched the lives of many people with his straight forwardness, loyalty and generosity. He maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Ben’s last funny statement was “Get On With It!”
