Arthur (Art) DUPUIS

On June 15, 2004, Mr. Arthur Floyd Dupuis passed away peacefully in Kamloops at the age of 90 years. Survived by his loving wife, Rose, of 64 years, three daughters Dolores (Joe) of Nakusp, Denise (Gary) of Kelowna, and Shirley (Roy) Queen of Kamloops and five sons Adrian (Judy) of Nakusp, Albert (Diane) Dupuis of Kamloops, Larry (Muriel) of Prince George and Gerald (Bev) and Allan (Kathy) both of Kamloops. He also leaves 18 grandchildren. Arthur was of a family of 18 brothers and sisters and is survived by two sisters Aleda and Jean. Arthur was born June 21, 1913 in Edam, Sask. Farmed in the Meadow Lake/Cabona area until they moved to the Kootenays in B.C. in 1950. He mined in the Kaslo area then moved to Nakusp where he took up carpentry. In 1963, Art & Rose and younger family memebers moved to Kamloops where he was a building contractor until retirement. Dad's greatest joy in life were his family. His passions included hockey, horseshoes, cribbage and billiards. Prayers will be recited on Friday June 18, 2004 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Father Dale Normandeau will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the cathedral. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thank you to Dr. D. Rittenburg, Dr. S. Prasad, Dr. T. Schmidt, Dr. S. Kincade, Dr. E. Russell, and the medical staff at the Royal Inland Hospital, and a heartfelt thank you to Donna Lessard, Val, head nurse and to all the staff at Berwick on the Park.
