A snowfall warning has been issued.

Environment Canada is calling for up to 40 centimetres over the next few days across the West Kootenay.

A snowfall warning for the region was issued Wednesday as a Pacific frontal system is expected to stall over southern British Columbia.

Snow is expected to start Wednesday evening and continue through Friday morning with 20 to 40 centimetres falling by the time the system moves on.

A winter storm warning is also in effect for Highway 3 Paulson Pass to Kootenay Pass. Up-to-date road conditions can be found at DriveBC.com.
