Police investigate death near Needles ferry

Police cars in community late Monday night

There are reports police are investigating a death that occurred in a community south of Nakusp last night.

Police sirens were heard in the area of the Needles ferry crossing, about 60 km south of the village.

Police closed off Highway 6 and the Needles crossing for several hours as they investigated the incident. The highway is now re-opened to Vernon.
