Jan. 31: Theft at St. Leon
Two trucks were broken into in the evening at St. Leon Hot Springs on Jan. 31. Those responsible took off with $200 worth of clothing and some other items.
RCMP report the thief entered through the rear door of the truck canopy.
Police are cautioning any residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles while visiting the hot springs or remote areas.

Jan. 18: Police tracking down car thieves
Nakusp RCMP are on the hunt for two men suspected of stealing cars in the Nakusp area.
Cpl. Bryson Hill said he believes the two suspects are from Kelowna, and they are still tracking them down.
Police first caught wind of this after responding to a call at 10 p.m. from a man down by the Nakusp marina. Hill describes it in his report:
"The complainant observed two males approach his vehicle with a pry bar," Hill states. "When he yelled he was calling police, the two ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the scene."
Police were able to track down the car the men fled in from the witnesses description. They found it abandoned, with damage done to the lock and ignition.
The car had been stolen from Nakusp earlier that evening.
In the same evening, Hill said they found another abandoned car in Nakusp which was stolen from Lake Country in the Okanagan.
He believes the two men were involved with this theft as well.
RCMP aren't releasing a description of the suspects, where they are or the location of the abandoned cars as it could hinder with their investigation.
"We'll leave it at that, because we're still working on the file," Hill told the Arrow Lakes News.
