Mailboxes mauled out of town

Is mailbox tipping the contemporary low-effort version of cow tipping?

There’s been a series of vandalism to post boxes just outside of Nakusp.

Sometime on the night of Nov. 18, two of the grey blocks of postal compartments were knocked over, one at Billings Road, the other at Box Lake.

When the RCMP came to the scene on Nov. 19, they discovered that the boxes suffered significant damage in the tipping.

But this wasn’t the last trial for the boxes, who were attacked again during the night of Nov. 27, and now both Nakusp RCMP and the Canada Postal Service are investigating.

Anyone with info is asked to call the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
