Residents in some parts of Silverton and New Denver, including the Red Mountain Road area, remained without telephone landline service Thursday morning after service went out sometime Wednesday.
As of 10:45 a.m. Thursday, a Telus customer was told the cause for the carrier outage was an outside line, the company was working on it and there was no information available on when service would be restored.
A number of residents in the area were out of cell phone range. There is Internet available in the area.
