The Arrow Lakes Hospital Foundation has recently received some innovative upgrades.
The staff at Arrow Lakes Hospital Foundation and the Nakusp and Area Community Forest (NACFOR) met to watch a demonstration of the newly purchased euipment, known as “Megacode Kelly.”
The Megacode Kelly is a manakin that allows for realistic training focusing on a wide variety of advanced lifesaving skills for pre-hospital emergencies from advanced airway scenarios to IV therapy.
The cost for a Megacode Kelly was $25,000 and was purchased by the Hospital Foundation, with the help of NACFOR, who contributed $5,000 towards the equipment.
There were also 80 charitable donations made during the 2023 Light Up our Hospital campaign.
