A busy Sunday in Trout Lake

Internet is coming to Trout Lake; a new plaque honours the cemetery.

It was a busy weekend up at Trout Lake. On Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. ceremony was held at the cemetery to dedicate a new plaque honouring the loved ones buried there. The cemetery entrance was widened, and the plaque was placed on a stone cairn. Several local residents volunteered their time to brush and clean up the area as well.

That day there was the Trout Lake internet service meeting where the residents voted to put in a tower after the initial meeting in July. Only two people voted against, so the tower will be built onto a pole behind fire hall. The Telus tower will supply the area with internet and cell coverage.
