Revelstoke’s Luna Fest will be returning to town in September, and the festival organizers are busy preparing and looking for artist submissions.
Artists wishing to participate in the festival are encouraged to apply by May, 27 at midnight. The 2024 Luna Fest theme will be contrast. Luna Fest producer, Kate Roberts said that the theme aims to get people to embrace the idea of comparison.
“We’re inviting attendees to explore the dynamic interplay of visible opposites,” said Roberts.
The theme of the event came out of conversations surrounding sustainability as the event organizers continued to discuss how to best continue to offer the event to the community in a sustainable way.
Last year the festival had around 3o installations and hopes to have a similar amount in September.
Local artists and artists throughout B.C. are encouraged to submit applications to participate.
“We want to showcase our local talent and really put Revelstoke on the map for its vibrant art scene,” said Roberts.
