Nakusp RCMP say no one was injured when an SUV collided with a transport truck hauling wood chips just outside the village on Wednesday evening.
Constable Kerry Pisio says a DCT Chambers chip truck collided with the SUV just after 7 p.m.
The transport tipped over in the accident, blocking the highway just by the pole yard, near the junction of Highways 6 and 23. The area was closed to traffic until Thursday morning. Vehicles were re-routed through the village downtown.
Pisio said highways in the area were slick with a combination of rain, wet snow and freezing conditions.
The police investigation has concluded, said Pisio, and no charges are being considered.
