Nakusp’s golf club was swinging this summer, with tournaments held on Aug. 20 and 28. Weather was fine for both days with blue skies over the green.

The Ryder Cup was held August 20th, and winners not only took home the cup, but some also found the legendary 19th hole.

August 28 saw competition for the Nakusp Centennial Golf Club Championship on the green. Winners now have bragging rights as well as their names immortalized in gold on a plaque at the golf club. Congratulations to the winners: Eileen Murao (Senior Ladies), Linda Henke (Ladies), George McIntyre (Super Seniors), Butch Warantz (Senior Men), Dave Mang (Men), and Dougan McInnes (Juniors); and to all the fine players that day.
