BAIRD Leslie Douglas, 78, of Nakusp died peacefully Feb. 6, 2004 at Arrow Lakes Hospital. Les was born Jan. 3, 1926 at the current location of the Nakusp Golf Course.
Les was predeceased by his wife Karoline and stepson Armin.
He will be fondly remembered by his daughter Jackie (Terry) and son Melvin of Trail, grandchildren Pam (Darcy), Ross (Crystal), Martin Marlaina and great grandchildren Emma and Megan. Lee is predeceased by brothers Gordon, Jim, Marsden & George and sister Alice and is survived by brothers Herbert and Ernie and sisters Ruth Turner and Marion Henke. A memorial tea will be held at the Nakusp Legion at 2:00 pm Saturday February 21.
Donations may be made to the Arrow Lakes Hospital in lieu of flowers. This is appreciated by the family as an expression of sympathy.
