?Jean passed away peacefully on the morning of October 28, 2016 at the Kootenay Boundary Hospital in Trail B.C. She leaves behind her daughter Marcy (Eric) Nixon of Chetwynd, B.C., her granddaughter Leah (Byron) McQueen, of Chetwynd B.C., her grandson Mitchell Nixon of Chetwynd B.C., and two great grandsons Cole and Mason Stender of Chetwynd B.C. She is predeceased by her husband Leslie Langbell, her son Wayne Langbell, her sisters Joan, Betty, and Rene, and her brother Merle.

?Jean was born in Princeton, B.C. on July 18, 1930. She spent part of her youth in Vancouver before meeting her husband Leslie and marrying him in Penticton in 1951. Her daughter Marcy was born in 1954 and her son Wayne joined the family in 1959.

?In 1965 Jean and her family moved to Nakusp where she spent the rest of her life. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary for many years and also a member of the Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary.

?At Jean’s request there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s name can be directed to Royal Canadian Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary Branch 20 of Nakusp.

?The family would like to thank her friends and neighbours for the good times they spent with her. She will be missed by all.
