Mrs. Elsie Eileen McNabb passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, October 6th, 2004 at the age of 90 years.
There will be no formal funeral service by Eileen’s own request.
Eileen was born in Landis, Saskatchewan on August 25, 1914 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for the past five years. She had resided in Nakusp for many years. Eileen lived an active life; she enjoyed bowling, curling, travelling, knitting and gambling the odd dollar. She enjoyed music all of her life and taught as well as played piano for most of her years. Her family and her dogs were most important to her.
Eileen was the last of her family having been predeceased by ten siblings; her husband, Ken in 1978, her son Bill in 1963 and by son-in-law, Karl Beattie in 1996. She is survived by two children: Yvonne Beattie of Revelstoke and Sandy (Irene) McNabb of Blue River, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
