Darlene Weisbrich, soul mate of Les Weisbrich, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. The courage, determination and bright spirit she evoked, even in her darkest moments, will be in the memory of all whom were intimate with her. A wake will be held in the Gallery at our residence on Sunday, August 8th from 12 - 4 p.m. Everyone welcome. Les Weisbrich, whose untimely illness required over two months of hospitalization, is recovering well and will be returning home to renew his dedication of fine art to the spirit of Darlene, whose support and inspiration made it all possible. I would like to thank Dr. Norm Lea and staff at Arrow Lakes Hospital, dear family friend Karen Hamling, Dr. Malpass and Kootenay Lake District Hospital staff, Kelowna and Trail doctors and staff for their unending excellent care and genuine concern for Darlene and myself. I would also like to thank my immediate family and friends for their on-going support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valhalla Wilderness Society or the World Wildlife Federation.
