Alice (nee Woldum) HORREY

Alice Horrey (nee Woldum) passed away peacefully December 18, 2004 at the Slocan Community Health Centre. Born in Calgary on June 23, 1916 she was predeceased by mother Georgina, father John, brothers Alex, Jack, Tom, sisters Annabelle, Georgina, sisters-in-law Alice, Edna, Irma. Survived by her loving husband, Charlie of Castlegar, sons Nelson Woldum of Nakusp, Gordon (Jean) Woldum of Kamloops, daughter Doreen (Bob) Hamling of Nakusp, brother Bill Warrack of Toronto, sisters Dolly Korek of Calgary, Margaret Koshowski of Strathmore, sister-in-law Nora, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, many nephews , nieces and families. Besides being a loving wife, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother she enjoyed her sewing, cooking and flowers. While in Nakusp, Alice was active with the Hospital Auxiliary, Boy Scouts and PTA. Moved to Calgary in 1960. Married Charlie in 1966. Retired to Castlegar in 1985. We send our heartfelt thanks to the staff and doctors of the Slocan Community Health Centre. We cannot express enough how much we have appreciated the care and support given to Alice. Cremation under the direction of the Valley Funeral Home, to be followed by a memorial in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Slocan Community Health Centre, P.O.
