A woman had to be pulled out her car using the Jaws of Life after losing control and crashing north of Nakusp on Thursday morning.
Police called an emergency crew from Nakusp Road Rescue to extricate the driver after her car skidded off the road, went into a ditch and hit a tree.
The accident occurred just after 9 a.m. Thursday about three kilometres north of the Nakusp Hot Springs Road.
Const. Lee Bellamy says the woman was taken to the hospital and is being treated for injuries. There’s no word on her condition.
The matter is still under investigation.
