The body of a Kelowna man missing in the Columbia region since July 31 has been found

Allan Ellsworth, 53, was last seen camping in the Trout Lake area and near the Incommapleux River.

Police say friends found Ellsworth’s body on Sept. 16.

“The cause of death is not considered suspicious at this time,” Cpl. Janelle Shoihet said in a news release. “The BC Coroners Service is involved in the investigation.”

Ellsworth’s body was the second found in the river this fall. Jared Szabo, who was missing since Aug. 3, was found on Aug. 22 after a massive search by police, friends and search and rescue officials.
