Why have you decided to take part in the Arrow Lakes Ambassador Program?

I have decided to take part in the Arrow Lakes Ambassador Program because I think it will help boost my self-confidence, make it easier to talk in front of people, and possibly make new friends.

What expectations do you have for this program? (What would you like to get from the program?)

I would like to be able to step out of my comfort zone and do things that would make me uncomfortable. For example, being around and talking to people I don’t know well.

How long have you live in the Nakusp area? Tell us about your family (brothers, sisters, etc.)

I have lived in Nakusp for almost five years now. When I first moved here I lived with my older sister’s family and my own. My home life wasn’t perfect, but I was OK with that. My mom, dad, and younger sister and brother were great.

What are some of your hobbies, interests, plans, and dreams? What do you plan do to when you graduate from high school?

Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing, painting, and collecting interesting tea tabs. My plans and my dreams are to become a musician or artist. I love the arts and I think it would be great to take advantage of that.

Do you have a job? If so, where do you work and what do you do?

I do have a job, and I work with kids. I practice conquering my fears, and one of my fears is kids. I got offered the job to babysit and I took the opportunity.

Have you travelled anywhere? If so, where did you go? If not, where would you like to go?

I have travelled. I have gone to Washington and have been all over B.C. Next year I’m going to Scotland and Ireland with the school, and I’m very excited.

Last but not least, give us your thoughts on living on the Arrow Lakes

Living on the Arrow Lakes. I think living on the Arrow Lakes is grand. I personally love the city because of the excitement, but there are wonderful things about our small town. For example, the mountains, the lake, the weather, and last but not least, the friendly atmosphere.
