Break in at gas station sets off alarm, damages door
Around 4 a.m. on March 19, 2013 police responded to a report of a break and enter to Anderson's Automotive Services on Nelson Avenue in Nakusp.
The culprit(s) forced open the front door to the business and stole a small quantity of tobacco products. Neighbours were awakened by the business' alarm being triggered, and one of the owners and police arrived on scene. No one was seen or located in the area at that time, but a number of items were seized from the scene for forensic examination.
Police are continuing to investigate the break and enter and are seeking assistance from the community. If you have any information that will assist in identifying the individual(s) responsible, please contact the Nakusp RCMP (250-265-3677) or Crimestoppers (1-800-222-TIPS).
